PHOTO: Washington Capitals Mike Green, Tomas Vokoun Take Cooking Lessons

Stay connected for news and updates

The Washington Capitals took time out of their busy schedule of, oh, trying to make the NHL playoffs, to receive cooking lessons this weekend from Capitol Hill restauranteur and former reality show contestant Spike Mendelsohn. The unique event was auctioned off as part of the Caps Care Casino Night and Auction last month, with all proceeds benefiting Washington Capitals Charities.

And, this weekend, Capitals defensemen Mike Green and Roman Hamrlik and goaltender Tomas Vokoun -- along with four auction experience winners -- visited the Hill Center at the Old Naval Hospital in Washington, D.C., for a personal cooking lesson from Bravo "Top Chef" Spike Mendelsohn (owner of We The Pizza and Good Stuff Eatery on Capitol Hill).

Check out the knife skills on this week's episode of "Top Chef Capitals" after the jump.
