2012 NFL Draft: Mike Shanahan Would Be Satisfied With Either Andrew Luck Or Robert Griffin III

Stay connected for news and updates

When the Washington Redskins traded up to get the No. 2 overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft with the St. Louis Rams, it was assumed that they were making that move for Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III. That still seems like the plan, but what if the Colts decide they want RGIII with their first overall pick? Well then the Redskins would be stuck with Andrew Luck, and it sounds like Mike Shanahan is just fine with that.

That's the draw of trading up to the No. 2 overall pick in a draft with two elite prospects. All the pressure is on the team with the top overall pick to get the right guy, but the Redskins will just be satisfied with whoever falls to them, and still end up with an elite prospect.
