The No. 9 seed UNC-Wilmington Seahawks came out fired up in the first quarterfinal Saturday at the 2012 CAA Tournament Championship, but the top-seeded Drexel Dragons withstood the opening charge to lead 27-22 at halftime.
Chris Fouch has led the Dragons with 12 points on five of 10 shooting from the floor. Fouch has tossed in two rebounds and two steals as well in the first half. Drexel has shot 40.7 percent from the floor as a team, but have made just two of 12 three point attempts.
UNC-Wilmington has been led by Keith Rendleman, who has tallied seven points. The Seahawks have outrebounded the Dragons16-10 in the first half.
