The Howard Bison are coming off an upset victory in the first round of the 2012 MEAC Tournament over North Carolina A&T after just a 10-win season. At halftime of round two however, the Bison currently trail the Norfolk State Spartans 36-26 . Glenn Andrews leads the Bison at halftime in scoring with 11 points, hitting on three of his four three-point shot attempts in the first half.

Howard is having a tough time with the size of Norfolk State however, struggling to slow down center Kyle O'Quinn who ends the first half with 14 points and 5 rebounds. Pendarvis Williams has also picked up 11 points in the first half, thanks to hitting on three of his four three-point shots. As a team, the Spartans have hit on six of nine three-points as the head into the half with a double-digit lead.
