The left-hander makes his second start of the season in Washington's home opener.

The Washington Nationals started off the season with two series on the road, both of which won by the good guys. They return to the District for their home opener at 4-2 with a four game set against the Reds set to kick things off at Nationals Park. The game starts at 1 pm on Thursday and can be found on MASN.

Gio Gonzalez will get the start for the Nats on Thursday, his second with the team after coming over in an offseason trade from the Oakland Athletics. Gio started the second game of the year for the Nats against the Cubs, and while he didn't get a decision and was not quite as sharp as he would have liked to be in his first game with a new team, the Nationals still got the win. They say you don't get a second chance to make a first impression, but Gio will get just that as he pitches in front of the home crowd for the first time. Here is the lineup for Thursday's game.
