Maryland Football Red-White Game Recap: Red Defeats White 67-53

Demetrius Hartfield was named team captain prior to the Maryland Terrapins annual spring football scrimmage, and then he went out proved why the honor was bestowed upon him. Hartfield led his Red team to a 67-53 victory over their White team counterparts while registering 12 tackles (two for a loss and one sack) in the game.

White team quarterback CJ Brown, Maryland's projected starter come fall, completed 17 of 33 passes for 199 yards and tailback Justus Pickett was the led the way in rushing with 46 yards on 14 carries. Matt Furstenburg, the Terps tight end caught five passes for 53 yards and Levern Jacobs, a freshman wideout from Temple Hills, MD caught five passes for 44 yards in this afternoon's game.
