Bobcats Vs. Wizards Recap: Washington Makes It Four In A Row With Blowout Win Over Charlotte

The Washington Wizards cruised to a 101-73 over the Charlotte Bobcats on Monday, finishing off the division foe with a 4-0 season sweep. The Wizards jumped all over the Bobcats early, taking a 24-point lead at halftime and blowing that out to the 30 early in the second half. Charlotte is considered by many to be the worst team in the history of the league, and they were simply non competitive from the jump. The win clinched the Wizards' first four-game winning streak since 2007.

The Wizards moved the ball with ease on the offensive end, matching season high with 28 assists. John Wall dished 14 of those assists in another impressive, adding 16 points on seven of thirteen from the floor. On the inside, Jan Vesely and Nene controlled the paint, chipping in double-digit games against an overmatched Charlotte front line. Vesely was a perfect eight for eight from the floor for 16 points while Nene scored 18 points of the bench.

Charlotte continued their disastrous season, committing 22 turnovers and shooting just 34 percent from the floor. They were comically bad in a game that was out-of-reach early in the first half. The 73 points allowed by Washington's defense were a season-low. The Wizards will now look to make it five in a row on Wednesday night in Cleveland against the Cavaliers.
