The Washington Capitals get a chance at revenge against the New York Rangers in the second round of the 2012 NHL Playoffs.
The Washington Capitals have found out who they will be playing in the second round of the 2012 NHL Playoffs, as they will face off against the New York Rangers.
The Rangers defeated the Ottawa Senators in Game 7 Thursday night, 2-1, setting up the matchup.
These two teams met in the playoffs last year, with the Capitals eliminating the Rangers in five games. In the regular season, the teams met four times with the two teams each winning two games.
The schedule has not been set yet, as the only remaining series in the Eastern Conference between the New Jersey Devils and Florida Panthers wraps up Thursday night as well.
