Stay connected for news and updates

Washington Nationals 2011 first round draft pick Anthony Rendon, playing for Class A Potomac, injured himself in a loss to Lynchburg on Saturday, and it appears the third baseman has a sprained ankle. Via Bill Ladson:

Rendon has an injury history, suffering from shoulder troubles in the past and twice injuring his right ankle, most recently breaking the ankle in 2010. Though this is the left ankle, Washington fans and management need to hope the injury-prone ways of Rendon's past do not linger.
