2012 Masters, Results And Recap: Day Of Surprises Caps Off Exciting Tournament

Bubba Watson's guerrilla golf tactics won him the 2012 Masters and more than a million bucks in prize money on Sunday. Watson's first major win and unlikely story should garner him plenty more fame and fortune in endorsements as the golf world continues to fill the void left in the wake of Tiger Woods' lapse.

Watson's story was not the only one worth reading from Augusta over the weekend. Phil Mickelson's two triple-bogeys brought a surprise end to his chase of a fourth Masters win. Tiger Woods never shot better than par in four rounds of play.

Louis Oosthuizen's double-eagle, only the fourth in the history of the tournament, vaulted him up the leaderboard. A strong final round put him in contention for the win and set up the playoff showdown with Watson.

Behind Watson and Oosthuizen, four players tied at 8-under. Lee Westwood, who was near the top all weekend, was there with Matt Kuchar, Peter Hanson and Phil Mickelson, who shot a 66 in the third round.
