2012 NFL Mock Draft: How Far How Fast For Robert Griffin III?

Stay connected for news and updates

Mock drafts leave little to be desired for the Washington Redskins. Every since the team pulled off a blockbuster trade with the St. Louis Rams to get the second pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, it has been preordained that they would select Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III. The team seems to be confident in that decision, already sending the coaching staff to Texas to meet with their quarterback of the future.

The latest mock draft from SB Nation continues the conventional wisdom.

RG3, on the other hand, needs no help finding cameras. The draft is just a formality for these two picks. Mike Shanahan et al are already meeting with Griffin in Texas. How they find time between Griffin's appearances I don't know.

At this point the biggest question for the Redskins is how much Griffin will be able to contribute this season. Obviously they intend for Griffin to start, but how far can he go in year one?
