D.C. United start a three-game home stand on Wednesday night against the Colorado Rapids. Can they beat the Rapids for the first time since 2009?

D.C. United start a three-game home stand on Wednesday night at RFK Stadium against the Colorado Rapids. This game and the two that follow close out the month for United, who will look to turn around a 1-2 record.

Last season, United lost and tied their two games against Colorado. In fact, the last time Colorado lost to D.C. was 2009.

The Rapids will have to get by United without the services of defender Marvell Wynne and striker Omar Cummings. Perry Kitchen's status for United on Wednesday is still unknown. He should return soon after a leg injury was revealed to be relatively minor and not a torn ligament as initially feared. Emiliano Dudar is still out for D.C.

United are in third place in the Eastern Conference with 18 points. Colorado is in fifth place in the Western Conference with 15 points.
