2012 Preakness Stakes: Todd Pletcher-Trained In Lingerie Wins 88th Black-Eyed Susan

The traditional precursor to the Preakness States, the 88th Black-Eyed Susan was run at Pimlico Friday afternoon, with the Todd Pletcher-trained horse In Lingerie taking home the win with a time of 1:52.07.

The 1-1 favorite Mamma Kimbo came strong out of the gate to take the lead and not give it up stumbling through the final turn and homestretch, finishing in fourth. That is when jockey John Velazquez made his move with In Lingerie to the front of the pack. In Lingerie would take home the title despite competition from Disposablepleasure and Wildcat's Smile down the stretch. Those two horses would take place and show respectively.

Here are the payouts from the race.

Pgm Horse Jockey Win Place Show
7 In Lingerie John R. Velazquez 9.80 5.00 4.80
2 Disposablepleasure Javier Castellano 7.20 6.00
8 Wildcat's Smile Rosie Napravnik 8.60
Also ran: 4 - Mamma Kimbo , 1 - Glinda the Good , 3 - Welcome Guest , 9 - Zucchini Flower , 6 - Plum , 5 - Oaks Lily
