The first-place Nationals open up a three-game series in Atlanta.
The Washington Nationals (26-18) head down to Atlanta for a three game series with the Braves (26-20) that will be a matchup between the top two teams in the NL East. Ross Detwiler (3-3, 3.65 ERA) opens the series pitching for the Nationals, while Tim Hudson (3-1, 3.03 ERA) will take the mound for the Braves.
Washington have won three of their last four, and with the Braves currently on a four-game skid, the Nationals were able to leapfrog their division rivals and grab the top spot in the east. It won't be easy to hold onto, though, as Hudson's posted a 1.25 ERA over his last three starts. Detwiler, on the other hand, has struggled as of late, notching a 7.31 ERA in his last three starts.
Tonight's game is scheduled to begin at 7:35 p.m. and will be televised on MASN.
