An all-Maryland NCAA lacrosse championship takes place on Monday, May 28. The Loyola Greyhounds take on the Maryland Terrapins in the 2012 Men's Lacrosse National Championship at 1:00 p.m. Eastern time.
The top-ranked Greyhounds narrowly beat Notre Dame on Saturday to advance to the title game. Unseeded Maryland is a bit more of a surprise entrant, but the Terrapins know the territory having played for the national championship last year. They lost to Virginia in 2011.
Maryland beat No. 3 Duke over the weekend to advance to this year's title game. Along the way, they also beat Lehigh in the first round, squeezing by with a 10-9 win. They beat No. 2 Johns Hopkins in the second round.
The game will be broadcast on ESPN at 1:00 p.m.
