On a day where the top seed in the women's bracket went down, the same nearly happened to the top seed in the men's bracket, as Novak Djokovic had to rally from down two sets to none to defeat No. 22 Andreas Seppi 4-6, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3, 7-5, 6-3. This was the third time in Djokovic was able to rally from that deficit in a Grand Slam match in his career.
Roger Federer also got out to a slow start but was able to finish off unseeded David Goffin 5-7, 7-5, 6-2, 6-4. Both he and Djokovic will now advance to the quarterfinals.
