Stay connected for news and updates

Horse racing's 34-year quest for another Triple Crown winner will have to wait, as 2012 Derby and Preakness winner I'll Have Another suddenly retired on Friday with a tendon injury, just one day before this year's Belmont Stakes.

With I'll Have Another out of the race, a new favorite has emerged: Dullahan at 9/5 odds. Union Rags is now listed at 3/1, with Paynter coming in at 7/2. Even before the injury to I'll Have Another, many believed Bob Baffert's horse Paynter was fully capable of the win at the Belmont.
