Although it came down to the wire, TIger Woods was able to edge Bo Van Pelt by two strokes to win the 2012 AT&T National at Congressional.
The two golfers entered the day tied at 6-under and remained deadlocked for most of the afternoon until the 17th hole when a bad drive and approach by Van Pelt opened the door for Woods who pared the hole while Van Pelt shot a bogey. Woods then held off Van Pelt on the 18th to clinch the title with a score for the tournament of 8-under.
This is the third win for Woods on the PGA Tour this year as he has also won the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Memorial Tournament.
