2012 British Open Leaderboard: Tiger Woods Sits 4 Strokes Behind Leader After 2nd Round 67

Tiger Woods is going to be in contention this weekend at the British Open. Woods duplicated his first round score of a 3-under 67 on Friday to put himself at 6-under for the tournament, only four strokes back of the leader. The leader is American Brandt Snedeker who shot up the leaderboards after a 6-under 64. Snedeker used the strength of five birdies in the span of seven holes to spring his round.

Australian Adam Scott is in second behind Snedeker after a 3-under 67 to put him at 9-under for the tournament. The projected cut is at 3-over, but that could still change with some golfers still out there in their round.

Golfers with ties to the DC area are not likely to make the cut. The best performing DC-area golfer is Virginia Beach resident Marc Leishman, who shot 5-over on the day to finish at 4-over for the tournament. Virginia Tech graduate Johnson Wagner finished at 6-over in the round, pushing his score to 9-over for the tournament. Virginia graduate James Driscoll shot another 6-over 76 to finish the tournament at 12-over.
