2012 London Olympics: Event Schedule, TV Coverage For Sunday

The first full day of competition at the 2012 London Olympic Games ended with the United States taking home five medals, trailing just China in the total medal count. The Summer Games once again kick off early on Sunday, with women's field hockey hitting the air at 4:00 a.m. ET.

One of the day's biggest events, at least for American fans, will tip off at 9:30 a.m. ET, when Team USA Men's Basketball takes on France. That contest can be seen on the NBC Sports Network. Swimming will again take center stage on Sunday, with multiple medal events set to occur.

The games will be shown on a variety of networks throughout the day and also be streamed live online at the NBCOlympics.com website. The full Sunday schedule is below:

Sunday, July 29

4:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. (NBCSN)

  • Women's Field Hockey: New Zealand vs. Australia (4 a.m.), USA vs. Germany (4:15 p.m)
  • Beach Volleyball: Qualifying (5 a.m., 8 a.m., 3 p.m.)

  • Men's Water Polo: USA vs. Montenegro (2:40 p.m.)

7:00 p.m. - Midnight (NBC)

  • Swimming: Gold Medal Finals (Men's 100m breaststroke, 4x100m freestyle relay; Women's 100m butterfly, 400m freestyle)

  • Canoeing: Whitewater qualifying heats
