The third overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft has agreed to terms with the Wizards, and is set to star in the Summer Development League for Washington.

The Washington Wizards have come to terms with the third overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft, Florida's Bradley Beal, signing a rookie scale contract on Friday. Beal will make a guaranteed $8.3 million in the first two years of the contract, with one year options on the third and fourth years. Of the $8.3 million, Beal was slotted to make $3.4 million, but will receive $4.13 million next season.

The Washington Post reports that the plan is to bring Beal along at a gradual pace throughout next season, alongside Jordan Crawford, who will likely start at the point, and let Beal get work in the Summer League:

"Whatever Coach [Randy Wittman] wants me to do and whatever role he puts me in, I’m willing to do whatever it takes to win and to help the team," Beal said. "I’m not going to come in and just try to force the issue."

Beal enters the league after one season at the University of Florida, where he averaged 14.8 points a game.
