Nationals Vs. Diamondbacks Score Update: Snakes Lead 3-0 In Fifth Inning

Stay connected for news and updates

The Washington Nationals' bid for a ninth-straight win hasn't gotten off to a good start, as they trail 3-0 in the fifth inning.

Patrick Gorbin has shut down the Nats thus far, allowing only one hit, no walks and striking out four. Bryce Harper has the lone hit for Washington so far.

The Diamondbacks opened the scoring in the bottom of the second when Paul Goldschmidt scored on a throwing error when attempting to steal third. Goldschmidt came up big again in the third when he hit a two-run double.

Ross Detwiler has allowed the three runs (two earned) on just two hits and no walks.
