London 2012 Olympics Daily Recap: Team USA Men's Basketball Highlights Final Day Additions To U.S. Medal Count

The final day was a relatively quiet one for bot the local area and the United States in general, however the big win of the day for Team USA came in the Men's Basketball Gold Medal Game, with the team winning their second straight gold medal in the olympics.

Other big events today included the Men's Marathon with Stephen Kiprotich of Uganda winning. American Mebrahtom Keflezighi finished just off of a medal in fourth place.

Jake Varner of U.S. wrestling was also able to bring home a gold medal on the final day, winning the Gold Medal Match in the 96 kg division, defeating Valerii Andriitsev of Ukraine in the finals, 1-0, 1-0.

These wins added to the U.S. medal count, which the country won at the 2012 games.
