Washington Redskins Sign Offensive Lineman Chris Campbell

On Monday morning, the Washington Redskins announced that the team has signed free agent offensive lineman Chris Campbell. Standing at 6-foot-5, 328 pounds, Campbell was originally signed as an undrafted free agent by the Green Bay Packers in 2010.

The Eastern Illinois University product was a member of the Packers practice squad and earned a Super Bowl ring for the team's victory in Super Bowl XLV. Campbell was signed and then subsequently released on several occasions by Green Bay, with the final instance coming on May 14.

During his senior season at Eastern Illinois, Campbell started in 12 games and helped the team win the All-Ohio Valley Conference with 6-2 record in addition to receiving second-team honors.

In order to make room on the roster for Campbell, the Redskins waived wide receiver Darius Hanks who was originally signed by the team as an undrafted free agent on May 3.
