The Big East has announced that Mike Aresco will officially be introduced as the conference's new commissioner in a press conference at the New York Athletic Club on Wednesday morning at 10:30 a.m. ET.

Aresco was unanimously voted as The Big East's new commissioner by the league's Presidents on Tuesday morning and will be replacing interim commissioner Joseph Bailey.

Prior to his appointment, Aresco acted as the Executive Vice President of Programming at CBS and was responsible for all college programming at the network. In addition, he negotiated the contracts for the NCAA Men's Basketball Championship, regular season basketball games and football bowl games.

His most notable achievement likely came in the form of his role in the negotiation that acquired the exclusive rights to NCAA Men's Basketball through 2024 for the CBS Television Network.
