D.C. United Vs. Chicago Fire Blog Reaction: 'This Team Knows What It Takes To Win'

Black and Red United writer Martin Shatzer is encouraged by D.C. United's 4-2 victory over the Chicago Fire on Wednesday. The fact that the Fire were riding a three-match winning streak and were at full strength was not lost on Shatzer.

This victory gives Shatzer confidence that the United are on their way to clinching a playoff spot in the Eastern Conference.

With just 10 matches left in the season, United is in fine position to essentially lock up their playoff spot in the coming weeks...This United team is undefeated when leading at the half. This United team knows how to close out a game. This United team knows what it takes to win.

D.C. United's next match will be at 4 p.m. Saturday against Montreal Impact at Saputo Stadium.
