2012 Barclays: Vijay Singh Climbs Into 2nd Place Behind Padraig Harrington

Vijay Singh has climbed his way into second place on the leaderboard at The Barclays on Friday, shooting 3-under through 16 holes to move to 6-under overall, one shot behind current leader Padraig Harrington. Although Harrington will have a chance to pull away when he finally tees of at 12:22 p.m. ET, Singh has been impressive nonetheless. He hit three birdies on the front nine, before shooting even so far on the back.

Bob Estes has also done well for himself, shooting 3-under through 12 to move into a five-way tie for fifth place at two shots off the lead. Ricky Fowler and Ian Poulter are also at 5-under overall, both at 1-under on the day through 15 and 16, respectively.

Nick Watney and Brian Harman are tied with Singh just behind Harrington. They will be teeing off at 12:33 p.m. ET and 1:17 p.m., respectively. Tiger Woods (3-under) will tee off at 1:06 p.m. and Phil Mickelson (3-under) will tee off just before at 12:44 p.m. Former Virginia Tech golfer Johnson Wagner will try to make his move from even-par beginning at 1:06 p.m. off the 10th tee.
