London Olympics 2012: Matt Centrowitz Qualifies For 1500m Final

Annapolis, Md. native Matt Centrowitz put in another good run in the 1500m semifinal Sunday afternoon, as he was able to qualify for the final scheduled for Tuesday.

Running in the second heat, Centrowitz came in fifth to claim the final automatic qualifying spot for the heat and one of 10 spots total with a time of 3:34.90. The winner of the second heat was Adbalaati Iguider of Morocco with a time of 3:33.99.

Another American, Leo Manzano was also able to qualify for the final with a time of 3:42.94.

The final in the 1500m is set to be run on Tuesday at 4:15 p.m. ET at Olympic Stadium. The race will be streamed live online at NBCOlympics.com.
