American gymnast and Olympic sensation Gabby Douglas did not win her third gold medal on Monday. Russia's Aliya Mustafina won the gold medal, while China's Kexin He took the silver. Beth Tweddle of Great Britain won the bronze medal.
Mustafina won with a score of 16.133, including a 9.122 on execution of a routine with a 7.0 difficulty. She really nailed it on her landing, which you can see here.
Douglas finished in eighth place, last among all finalists in the event. She had a score of 14.900 with just a 6.3 difficulty rating. She did have a strong landing, seen below.
Mustafina is coming off a torn ACL injury in 2011. Tweddle's bronze medal is the first medal for Great Britain in women's gymnastics since 1928.
