It entered the day atop the medal count and it leaves Tuesday atop the standings as well with a total of 73 medals at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. Meanwhile the U.S. is currently stuck in second with 70 medals, including 30 gold, and Great Britain, carrying the home-turf advantage, remains in third place
