2012 Summer Olympics: U.S Gets Knocked Out By Croatia In Men's Water Polo

Stay connected for news and updates

On Day 12 of the 2012 Summer Olympics the men's U.S. water polo team was knocked out by Croatia, as they failed to reach the semifinal round of the Olympic tournament. The Croatian team jumped out to an early 5-0 lead over the Americans and the cruised on to an 8-2 dominant victory in a game that saw some poor effort by the American team.

In the 2008 Summer Games in Beijing the American men's team finished up with a silver medal and Washington, D.C. native Peter Hudnut and the rest of the team were looking to take home a gold medal. Croatia's defense put the halt on that dream however, after jumping out to their big lead allowing the American's to score just two points.
