William & Mary Vs. Maryland Score Update: Terps Still Trail 6-0 At Half

Maryland was unable to chip away at William & Mary's 6-0 lead in the second quarter, as both offenses struggled and the score stayed the same.

After a strong drive at the beginning of the quarter, led by 18 yards from Justus Pickett and 45 total yards from Perry Hills, true freshman kicker/punter Brad Craddock missed a 25-yard field goal wide left with seven and a half minutes left in the half.

Maryland's defense continued a strong effort, led by a fat guy interception courtesy of Joe Vellano. Vellano has seven tackles, including two for a loss, through the first two quarters. The only other Terrapin with more than three tackles is Demetrius Hartsfield, who has six.

Outside of the defensive end, Maryland's best player has probably been punter Nathan Renfro. Renfro has two punts - one for 48 yards, and one for 60 - in his collegiate debut.

Hills is 10/16 for 90 yards, largely from screen passes, and the two interceptions from the first quarter. Justus Pickett has five rushes for 18 yards and Albert Reid has carried the ball eight times for 15 yards. Marcus Leak leads all Maryland receivers with three receptions for 37 yards, and Kerry Boykins, Stefon Diggs, and Reid all have two receptions apiece.

The Terps have done a good job stifling the Tribe's passing attack, holding Brent Caprio to 3/7 for 25 yards and Raphael Ortiz to 1/4 for 13 yards. Keith McBride II has five rushes for 20 yards.
