The Virginia Tech Hokies have fallen out of the Coaches Poll Top 25 in the Week 4 college football rankings. The Hokies had been No. 13 before dropping out following their loss to the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday. Virginia Tech also fell out of the AP Top 25 on Sunday.
The Hokies could move back into the Top 25 with a win over Bowling Green this week, as they are just outside the rankings and had the most votes in the "receiving votes" section.
With Virginia Tech falling out, two ACC teams remain in the poll. Florida State checks in at No. 4, with Clemson at No. 9.
Alabama remained on top for another week, after a 52-0 shellacking of the Arkansas Razorbacks. There was some shakeup at the top, with Oregon moving to No. 3 after USC fell in their Pac-12 opener to Stanford. The Cardinal rose to No. 11, while the Trojans dropped to No. 12.

The Virginia Tech Hokies have fallen from No. 13 to unranked in the Week 4 AP college football Top 25 after their shocking loss to the Pittsburgh Panthers on Saturday.
With the Hokies dropping out, there are now two ACC teams in the poll. Florida State checks in at No. 4, while Clemson is at No. 10.
Alabama remains at the top, with LSU moving up to second after USC's loss to Stanford. The Trojans fell to No. 13, while the Cardinal rose 12 spots to No. 9.
The Hokies are now 2-1 on the season and will try to move back into the polls when they face Bowling Green at noon ET on Saturday at home in Lane Stadium.
