The Wizards coach has high expectations for the third-year point guard.

One day after Washington Wizards general manager Ernie Grunfeld addressed the media ahead of the start of training camp, head coach Randy Wittman took his turn Wednesday.

Wittman was his typical no-nonsense self, and set about immediately establishing his expectations for third-year point guard John Wall.

SB Nation DC Wizards editor Thomas Pruitt tackled this very question last week in this piece. Here was his outlook for Wall.

Washington is hoping that 2013 is a breakout year for Wall, but his statistical projection - based largely on the relative improvements of similar players at the same age - isn't extremely optimistic.

Best case scenario: Improves his jump shot to league average levels, is named an all star reserve, and leads Washington to their first playoff appearance since 2008.

As ever, the Wizards won't lack for intrigue.
