Cincinnati Vs. Virginia Tech: Hokies lead Bearcats 7-6 at the half

Despite being dominated statistically, the Virginia Tech Hokies lead the visiting Cincinnati Bearcats, 7-6, at halftime at FedEx Field in Landover, Md.

Two Bearcat turnovers have kept Virginia Tech in the game, as the Hokies' offense was virtually nonexistent in the first 30 minutes of the contest.

Cincinnati has 10 first downs to Virginia Tech's two, and the Bearcats have gained 146 yards of total offense to just 72 for the Hokies. Six Virginia Tech penalties for 89 yards have hindered any offensive flow for the Hokies.

Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas has the game's lone touchdown, scoring on a 5-yard run with just over two minutes left in the half. Thomas has 13 rushing yards on five carries, and is 7-of-13 passing for 37 yards.

Cincinnati kicker Tony Miliano has accounted for the Bearcats' only points of the game, making a 20-yard field goal in the first quarter and a 43-yard field goal in the second quarter.
