VIDEO: Redskins Aldrick Robinson, Brandon Meriweather injured in pre-game warmups

Washington Redskins Aldrick Robinson and Brandon Meriweather were both injured in a strange accident during pregame warmups for the team's afternoon matchup with the Buccaneers in Tampa Bay. The players have subsequently been ruled inactive for today's game. Check out the video below from CSNwashington.com:

The depressing irony in this entire exchange is Meriweather was looking to play in his first game of the season after working his way back from ligament strains in his left knee. As you can see in the clip above, Meriweather instantly crumbles to the ground after the collision, clutching his left knee.

As the Comcast report notes, Robinson was actually tended to on the field longer than Meriweather, as doctor's were checking the wide receiver's head and neck.
