Rory McIlroy made history on Sunday as he captured the 2012 BMW Championship at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Indiana, carding a 5-under par final round of 67 on his way to 20-under for the tournament and a two-shot win over Phil Mickelson and Lee Westwood.
McIlroy is the first player since Tiger Woods in 2009 to win in back-to-back weeks on the PGA Tour, and now has three wins in his last four tournaments, the last two being FedEx Cup playoff tournaments. It is McIlroy's sixth career victory, placing him in the elite company of Woods and Jack Nicklaus as the only players to win at least six times by the age of 23.
Woods finished tied for fourth at the BMW Championship, shooting 68 on Sunday to finish at 17-under for the tournament.

After three rounds of the 2012 BMW Championship, Phil Mickelson and Vijay Singh are tied for the lead at the Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, IN.
Singh has been at the top of the leaderboard for most of the tourney, while Mickelson charged with a fury on moving day. Singh hasn't had much success this year but has found his old form. Mickelson has also suffered his share of struggles but was incredibly on the mark Saturday with an 8-under 64, bringing him to 16-under on the week.
Lee Westwood and Rory McIlroy are tied for third, one off the pace at 15-under.
Tiger Woods was on the opposite end of the spectrum at first before rallying to have a positive round of 1-under. Woods bogeyed four of the first eight holes to put himself at 3-over to that point. However, the 14-time major champion rallied with birdies on three of the following four holes to get back in contention. Woods is currently three shots off the lead.

On the third day of the 2012 BMW Championship at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Ind., Vijay Singh now has some company at the top of the leaderboard.
Singh has been leading for a good chunk of the tournament with a score of 14-under, including being 1-under on Saturday through the first eight holes. Now he's tied with Phil Mickelson who seemingly can't hit a bad shot on Saturday. Mickelson has been completely in control of all his clubs, shooting a 6-under with five holes still to play.
Rory McIlroy is sitting in second place, one stroke off the pace. The Northern Irishman has looking good throughout the week after winning the Deutsche Bank Open on Monday. On eight holes, McIlroy has shot par except on the fourth where he was able to birdie.
Tiger Woods is having a much tougher afternoon. Woods has had a constant struggle on moving day, shooting 2-over after nine holes. He does have a little mometum currently, picking up a birdie on his last hole, the ninth. He's four shots off the pace.

With the BMW Championship heading into the weekend, Vijay Singh currently sits atop the leaderboard at 13 under par. Singh is a popular golfer and a bit of a fan favorite, but it's fair to say that fans are paying quite a bit of attention to who's behind him - Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
Along with Ryan Moore, Woods and McIlroy are sitting at -12, leaving the trio only one stroke behind Singh. Woods finished his second round on Friday with two birdies to keep pace with McIlroy and Moore. Lee Westwood and Indiana native Bo Van Pelt both come in tied for fifth with both currently sitting at 11 under par.
Due to thunderstorms in the area this weekend, the second round was played early on Friday and play on Saturday will be pushed back. Play will take place via groups of three due to the scheduling change. NBC's coverage will kick off at noon and action on the Golf Channel will start at 3:30 p.m. Tee times and groupings can be found here.

Tee times for the second round of the 2012 BMW Championship have been pushed up three hours on Friday as a precaution for forecasted afternoon thunderstorms in the Indianapolis area. Threesomes will go off both sides at Crooked Stick, running consecutively in one morning session from 8 a.m. to 10:01 a.m. ET. Pete Dye's original was already soaked from heavy rain over the weekend, forcing the Tour to enact lift, clean, and place. As always, a Monday finish is about the least desirable option so the Tour wants to ensure the field is cut in half before the weekend.
The powerhouse grouping of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, and Nick Watney will tee off at 9:39 a.m. ET, going off No. 10. McIlroy is on fire once again, firing darts all Thursday at the receptive greens. He is tied with three others for the lead at 8-under.
Golf Channel will carry the broadcast of the second round from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. ET. Due to the change in times, the entire broadcast should be tape-delayed action from the morning. A complete schedule of tee times below:
