The Virginia Tech Hokies will host FCS Austin Peay on Saturday as they try to improve to 2-0.
The Virginia Tech Hokies turn around on a short week and host Austin Peay at Lane Stadium on Saturday afternoon. The Hokies are coming off a hard-fought overtime win against Georgia Tech on Monday night, and they'll look to cruise against the 0-1 FCS Governors.
Austin Peay has struggled at the FCS level, winning no more than four games over the past four seasons. The Hokies recent loss to FCS opponent JMU has certainly taught fans to keep their guard up, but this may be the worst team Frank Beamer's club has faced.
The game will not be available on television, but ESPN3 will carry a livestream as Logan Thomas tries to lead the Hokies to a 2-0 record. With the FCS opponent, there is currently no spread for the contest. Kickoff is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. ET in Blacksburg.
