The National League East-leading Washington Nationals will try to avoid a second consecutive loss to the Marlins when they host Miami on Saturday.
The Nationals will look to Ross Detwiler for another solid pitching performance. Detwiler, a former first-round pick, has been a dependable starter all year, posting a 3.15 ERA in 22 starts.
The Marlins' Mark Buehrle will look to rebound from a rough outing on Sunday in which he allowed five earned runs to the Mets. Overall, Buehrle has been solid in his first season with the Fish, managing a 3.73 ERA in 27 starts.
Washington has the best record in baseball and holds a 6.5 game lead over the Atlanta Braves in the East. They seem a lock for their first playoff appearance since 1981, when they were the Montreal Expos.
Saturday's game will begin at 1:05 ET, and can be viewed on MASN.
