D.C. United improve to 4-2-3 (15 points) and stays in second place in the Eastern Conference after a 3-2 win over Houston Dynamo (2-1-3, 8 points). The win marks the first back-to-back wins for United since June of 2009. The win also extends United's seven-game unbeaten streak.
After leading 1-0 at the half, the game opened up in the second half.
A wild ten minute stretch saw the score go from a 1-0 dominating United lead to a shocking 2-2 draw by the 59th minute. Dynamo got two goals from Will Bruin, while Dwayne De Rosario scored his first goal of the season on a failed cross that Chris Pontius could not get to.
Maicon Santos scored what would be the game winner in the 70th minute after a beautiful cross from Daniel Woolard. United kept up the attack for the final twenty minutes and had a handful of chances to extend the lead, but could not.
