D.C. United (5-3-3, 18 points) heads to Houston (2-3-2, 8 points) on Saturday afternoon, looking to spoil the debut of the Dynamo's new BBVA Compass Stadium. Houston is changing venues from dilapidated Robertson Stadium to a new 22,000 seat stadium just east of downtown Houston. It is the sixth new MLS stadium to open since 2010.
United hopes the new stadium might change their luck in Houston, as the Black-and-Red have never won in six visits. The Dynamo currently have a three-game home winning streak vs. DCU.
United did win the most recent matchup between the two clubs, though, just two weeks ago at RFK Stadium. Maicon Santos found the back of the net twice, with Dwayne De Rosario also notching a goal in a 3-2 DCU victory.
Houston holds the edge in 13 all-time meetings, winning seven times to just four victories by United. The team have also tied twice.
