D.C. United is taking on the New York Red Bull on Sunday evening at Red Bull Arena, and it took no time at all for United to get on the board. In fact, it took just 28 seconds for DCU and Chris Pontius to score, a team record. Via Kyle Sheldon, Director of Marketing Communications for D.C. United:

Just rewound to check - Pontius' goal was at 28 seconds, the fastest in #DCU history by 12 seconds.

Pontius must really enjoy playing the Red Bulls. In April, the forward scored his first professional hat trick against New York, and now he scores less than thirty seconds into Sunday's matchup. After the jump, check out the goal.
