D.C. United (9-5-3) looks to stay atop the Eastern Conference standings when they host the Montreal Impact (5-9-3) on Saturday night at RFK. A victory by United will keep the Black-and-Red ahead of the New York Red Bulls and Sporting Kansas City.
DCU is coming off a tough 3-2 loss to rival New York, a game in which D.C. squandered two goals by Chris Pontius in defeat. Pontius has tallied five goals in two games against the Red Bulls this season.
Montreal was blanked 3-0 in their last contest by Toronto FC. A win by Montreal would bump the Impact from eight place in the Eastern Conference to fifth place.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. EST Saturday night at RFK.
