George Mason rebounded nicely from a mid-week loss to Virginia, picking up its eighth win of the season with a 76-61 victory over Radford on the road. Center Mike Morrison secured a double-double with 17 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Patriots to victory.
George Mason led by just three points at halftime, but quickly took control in the second half. The Patriots outscored Radford, 44-32, in the second half and led by as many as 22 points during that span. Star Ryan Pearson added 14 points for Paul Hewitt's team, while Byron Allen was the third Patriots scorer in double figures with 11.
In other local action, Navy stuck around with No. 10 Missouri early, but the Tigers rebounded midway through the first half and finished on a 27-11 burst to eventually take control and win, 84-59. Marcus Denmon scored 22 points to lead the Tigers. Navy falls to 3-8 on the season.
