The George Washington Colonials held just a one-point lead at halftime against Bowling Green on Tuesday in the Progressive CBE Classic, but that was before their second-half barrage. Spurred by 16-2 and 18-4 runs during different points of the second half, the Colonials pulled away for a 77-56 victory, their third straight after a blowout loss to California.

The Colonials hit 11 of 17 three-pointers in the game, overwhelming Bowling Green from the perimeter. Junior guard Lasan Kromah continued his strong start after missing last season due to injury, hitting five threes and scoring 21 points to lead George Washington. Senior guard Tony Taylor had just six points and nine assists, but was named the MVP of the sub-regional, which George Washington unofficially won.

The Colonials move to 4-1 on the year, with the lone loss coming against nationally-ranked Cal. They will next square off against Kansas State on December 1.
