The George Washington Colonials and Rhode Island Rams headed into Wednesday nights match up with both teams looking for their first A10 conference win. At halftime, Rhode Island is on the right track but they're holding on to just a 1-point lead over George Washington. The Rams jumped out to an early 5-0 lead, but the Colonials were able to go on a run of their own to tie the game.
The teams stayed close and battled back and forth in the first half, but thanks to 9 points from Billy Baron off the bench, Rhode Island took the 31-30 lead into halftime. For George Washington, forward David Pellom leads the way with 10 points and 6 rebounds in the first half, while Tony Taylor, Lasan Kromah, and Dan Guest each picked up 5 points with Kromah also picking up 4 rebounds.
