George Washington Vs. Richmond: Colonials Aim For Season Sweep Of Spiders

The George Washington Colonials (8-16, 3-7 A-10) head down I-95 on Saturday to the Robins Center, looking for their first season sweep of the Richmond Spiders (13-12, 4-6) since 2007.

Feb 11, 2012 - The George Washington Colonials (8-16, 3-7 A-10) head down I-95 on Saturday to the Robins Center, looking for their first season sweep of the Richmond Spiders (13-12, 4-6) since 2007.

On Wednesday night, the Colonials led first-place Temple by 10 points with just under five minutes to play, but surrendered a 22-5 run to end the game in a 79-72 loss to the Owls. Richmond took down second-place LaSalle Wednesday, 78-76, jumping the Spiders over the Colonials in the Atlantic 10 standings.

George Washington crushed Richmond 83-65 in their first meeting on the year on January 18th. Lasan Kromah scored 25 points in the game, and senior guard Tony Taylor chipped in 21 points.

Tipoff is at 5:00 P.M. ET and the game can be seen on ESPNU and ESPN3.
