This weekend in Daytona Beach, Florida, the 2012 National Cheerleaders Association (NCA) and National Dancers Association (NDA) Collegiate Championships are being held, and the George Washington Colonials Cheer Team, First Ladies Dance Team and mascot, George, are all competing. In fact, GW George has just announced that he is this year's mascot champion:

GW George has participated in the competition since 2009, when he placed tenth. His previous highest finish was seventh place in 2011.

No word yet on how the Cheer Team and First Ladies Dance Team are doing in the competition, but GW George has certainly gotten the team off to a good start in Daytona.
