Appalachian State Vs. Georgetown: Hoyas Look To Bounce Back From Loss

The Georgetown Hoyas were coming off their first loss of the season, and took out their frustration today on the appropriately named Appalachian State Mountaineers. Georgetown dominated throughout the contest and roled to an 89-60 victory.

Following the Hoyas' loss to the Temple Owls last week, it was critical that they got off to a fast start. They did, and the game was never really close.

Georgetown's Jason Clark led the way with 15-points. Austin Freeman and Hollis Thompson each scored in double figures. Freshman forward Nate Lubick also added 11-points off the bench.

The Hoyas' defense was stifling, limiting the Mountaineers to just nine assists while forcing 15 turnovers.

Georgetown will have a nice healthy break to prepare for its next game against the powerhouse team from Loyola, MD. Following that matchup though, the Hoyas will face two top 25 teams on the road as they visit Memphis and Notre Dame.
