Maui Invitational Scores: Georgetown Up By 12 Over Chaminade At Half

After narrowly losing to the highly ranked Kansas Jayhawks on Monday night, the Georgetown Hoyas returned to the hardwood at the Maui Invitational Tuesday afternoon with a clean first half of basketball against Chamine. The Hoyas lead 45-33 at intermission thanks to a 17-of-28 shooting performance from the field, including seven made three pointers in twelve attempts.

Jason Clark leads all scorers with 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting. He hit all four of his three-point FG attempts in the first 20 minutes. Clark also led the team in scoring in the 67-63 loss to Kansas, but he was far less efficient Monday night, making only five of his 13 shots from the floor.

Chaminade, the host school of the tournament, lost their opening round game on Monday to UCLA by the lopsided score of 92-60.

The winner of Tuesday’s game meets Memphis on Wednesday. The Tigers outlasted Tennessee in double overtime earlier on Tuesday to stay alive in the double-elimination tournament being played out in Maui.
